1. Initial information gathering

We request basic information: the organisation’s mission, structure, contact details, photos or videos of facilities, and profiles of key staff or volunteers. This helps us quickly assess alignment with our standards.

2. Documents and legal status

We review registration documents, statutes, and any available policies on animal protection. This step confirms the legal and organisational foundation of a potential partner.

3. Site visits and interviews

When documents look appropriate, TailsPal arranges a site visit or meeting with local representatives. During visits we evaluate shelter conditions, hygiene, vaccination practices, and availability of basic veterinary care. We also talk with staff and volunteers about daily routines and approaches to animal welfare.

4. Assessing care standards

We focus on feeding, sanitation, isolation practices for ill animals, and population management such as vaccination and spay/neuter programs. Where gaps appear, we offer practical recommendations and support to improve care.
