How We Plan to Expand to New Cities 🧡 🐾

Why we are expanding

TailsPal was founded to improve the lives of vulnerable animals through community action. Expanding to new cities allows us to reach more animals and engage more people in compassionate care. Our approach focuses on building systems that last rather than quick one-off actions.

Our guiding principles

  • Humane care: animal welfare comes first.
  • Sustainability: projects must be able to continue locally.
  • Transparency: clear communication with communities and supporters.
  • Collaboration: work alongside local shelters, vets, and volunteers.

How we choose cities

We use practical criteria to decide where our efforts will do the most good:

  • Local partners and volunteers who are ready to work.
  • Actual needs on the ground: availability of veterinary services and stray animal density.
  • Logistical feasibility: roads, access, and supply routes.
  • Community readiness to support and sustain the work.

This helps avoid rushed rollouts and ensures lasting impact.

Partnerships and volunteers

Local people are essential. We support shelters and grassroots groups by providing organization, training, and resources while they provide ongoing care and local knowledge.

Concrete actions:

  • Vetting and selecting local partners.
  • Running training sessions and practical workshops.
  • Defining roles, standards, and responsibilities.

Logistics and operations

Practical matters often determine success:

  • Safe transport for animals and supplies.
  • Coordinating with local veterinary clinics for surgeries and treatments.
  • Stocking basic supplies: food, medicine, and equipment.

We plan routes and backups to reduce risks and ensure continuity.

Funding and sustainability

Initial funding can come from community fundraising and grants. Our aim is to build models where local initiatives gradually assume costs and management through a mix of donations, local fundraising, and in some cases small cost-recovery services.

Step-by-step launch

  1. Initial contact and needs assessment.
  2. Build the team and confirm partners.
  3. Deliver training and prepare materials.
  4. First field operation: vaccination, sterilization, or urgent care.
  5. Review results and refine the plan.

How you can help

  • Volunteer or coordinate in your city.
  • Offer transport, supplies, or shelter space.
  • Donate or help spread the word.

Expansion is a community effort. When locals, shelters, volunteers, and TailsPal work together, new programs are more likely to be sustainable and truly help animals. Thank you for being part of this journey.
