We provided a quiet resting spot, regular meals, and a veterinary check. The most important part was setting a predictable routine: consistent feeding times, short quiet walks, and minimizing sudden actions.
Small steps matter. The first relaxed breath, the first gentle sniff of a hand, the first play invitation—these are landmarks on the road to trust.
Noting these moments helps volunteers and adopters stay motivated.
